Rope Incense - CEDAR (XL)
Rope Incense is one of the most unique incense types you're likely to come across, handmade in Nepal using traditional methods. In the Himalayas, rope incense making is a process passed from generation to generation: dried herbs and other naturally scented botanicals are finely powdered and wrapped in a thin strip of hand-prepared eco-friendly Nepali lokta paper, which is then braided to form a rope-like dhoop stick, ready to burn.
To burn your Rope Incense, light one end as you would a standard incense stick. Once it's alight, blow out the flame to allow the stick to smoulder and release its aromatic smoke. Rest a lit stick in a heatproof dish of sand or ash, in a suitable censer, or a purpose-made Burner Box or Rope Incense Burner. When spent, allow to cool before disposing of the ash.
These XL sticks are larger than our standard sized rope incense, coming in at 2-3 times the weight of the smaller sized sticks. Each XL stick will burn up to 30 - 40 minutes depending on the breeze and burning conditions. 40-45 x 4.5" (approx 11cm) sticks per pack. Handmade in Nepal.
