Burn resin incense without charcoal

Any candles pictured are NOT included with the burner.

ADDITIONAL / SPARE CIRCULAR GAUZE PIECES ARE AVAILABLE: Choose 'Spare Gauze' from the Drop Down Options Menu before adding it to your cart. Purchasing from the Spare Gauze option includes ONLY the spare brass gauze plate: it will NOT include the candle burner itself, which needs to be purchased separately.

A uniquely simple design, this brass CANDLE WARMED incense burner allows you to burn your favourite resins without using charcoal.

The decorative base sits on three raised legs and features a recess for a standard sized tealight candle (not included). The burning platform above is adjustable in height so you can move it closer or further from the flame, depending on the type of incense you're burning or how slowly you'd like it to burn. The incense platform contains a perforated brass gauze so is perfect for botanicals like resins, palo santo chips, sage leaves or wood pieces (best not used with incense 'powders' which may fall through). The gauze can be removed for cleaning - spare gauze plates are also available if you like to swap between different resins - add one via the OPTIONS menu (available separately from the burner itself).

The burner is approx 11cm in height from base to tip of stand, and approx 8cm in diameter at the base, made from high quality polished brass with a lovely weight, and a handmade wooden adjusting knob.

Note that the brass will become particularly hot during use so avoid touching it while your incense is burning, and burn over a heatproof surface.

TIP: The burning platform warms up surprisingly quickly so avoid the temptation of lowering it too close to the flame as your resin may 'burn' instead of gently warming, affecting the scent. Typically, having the platform at the halfway point or higher should work with a standard candle.

NOTE: As the burning platform gauze contains small holes, any particularly runny or hot resins, or incense powders, may seep through. Sticky resins may adhere to the gauze after burning (the photo above is of Frankincense, which we haven't found to have a problem). Bear this in mind when choosing the types of resin or botanicals you'd like to burn. Some may be able to be removed or cleaned once cooled - TIP: If you can find a piece of natural mica this can be used beneath your resins as it burns. Mica is an excellent heat distributor that will both stop your resin from overheating, as well as allow a solid platform that is easy to clean. Spare gauze pieces are also available.

Important: you must ensure that you take all care to ensure children or pets cannot access your censer while burning, and that the censer cannot be accidentally bumped etc. Always place your censer on a heat proof surface during use.

Resin incense has been used since Biblical days. It is the purest form of incense: natural gums, resins, wood chips and herbs from aromatic plants, used either in pure pellets or in a pre-mixed blend, and warmed with heat (usually charcoal disks / tablets) to emit their fragrance through aromatic smoke.

We specialise in resins and stock dozens of different pure gums and blends in the most divine natural scents to suit every taste. If you enjoy standard stick incense, you are sure to enjoy resin incense.
